KEC Graduation Logo

This is my grad year and for grad wear our graphics class got the opportunity to design the logo. Student council will then choose the winning logo. I liked this project because I am designing a logo that I could be wearing. The logo I made is not boring but not cluttered. I would choose it.

For this project we were able to choose an image and had to make the text look like it was in the scene. I enjoyed this task and feel that I captured the purpose.

The point of this project was to create an Event poster. As one of my choices I chose the Winnipeg Jazz festival. I really liked this project because I enjoy designing advertisments, I feel it is one of my strengths and I was happy with my final product.

KEC handbook - my edition

This project was given to us so that we would make our own original school handbook cover. As an end result if the school likes any of our designs they will use it next year.

Magazine Layout

I had fun doing this project because I'm interested in designing page layouts. I chose to do Meaghan Waller as my magazine page spread because I watched the whole season of the Canada's Next Top Model cycle that she won. I also was inspired to use her as my main topic because she is from Winnipeg. This layout was done in InDesign and was fairly simple.

Soccer Calendar

This soccer Calendar represents my soccer team's game and practice days in May. I used InDesign to create this Calendar. It seems like an easy task but truly its not, It can get confusing.

Vectoring Landscape Project

For this project I chose to vector a beach scene. This was a very time consuming assignment and very labor intensive.

Cobra Venom- Energy Drink

For this project we were given a can and were told to design our own energy drink. I decided to call the drink "Cobra Venom". Unlike anyone else I decided that I would first draw out my idea. Later I thought I am going to put a Cobra on this can, although the only way I would be able to achieve this would be to draw it because we were restricted from pictures off the internet. I ended up drawing the Cobra and went through many obstacles of trying to get the image I drew onto the computer in good enough quality to work with it. Finally I was able to work with my Cobra and found a filter for it that satisfied me. This is how my energy drink turned out, I am happy with my result.

Cure-A-Thon

Kildonan East Collegiate Hairstyling team gave our graphics class a task to re-design a flyer they have had for a few years now for the Cure-A-Thon. All the details are on my flyer

Career Bridge Logo's

Suds Poster

For this project we were given a script to review for a play called Suds. Our school Kildonan East Collegiate is presenting this play with our drama students. Our job was to create a poster that resembles the play and events that occur in it. The play mainly takes place in a lunchroom at a car wash. Each worker comes in with their own background story. Each character has their own motives and goals in life that they want to pursue. Just in time a talk show host comes to the scene giving each character a chance of a life time, offering a brand new car, money and a brand new job.

Ne-yo - CD Cover

For this CD Cover project I used an image that I photographed myself down town Winnipeg. I used photoshop to tweak the photo. and added a few lyrics and an artist to the Cover. I feel that this CD Cover intertwines with Ne-yo because a lot of his songs are about love and seem to be depressing. In my opinion this cover gives off that impression.
